Coach Fruitt has spoken to you as a class about "the least."

Matthew 25:37-40 states:  37  "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

40 "The Lord will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

Pay extra attention to your peers over the next few days. Give an example of when you have  witnessed a classmate serving Christ by doing "the least?"

  12. On Monday, January 26, 2009, I witnessed a classmate serving Christ by doing " the least." It was during the intramural basketball game, the Jazz and the Celtics. I play for the Jazz and we had already pulled out to a 7 to 0 lead in about the first minute-and-a-half. On the first possession the Celtics scored, Mac made a basket and got fouled. When Mac was jogging to the free-throw line, Ben gave him a "high five." To me, this says it doesn't matter what team you play for, or if you win or lose, it matters about support, good sportsmanship, and serving Christ to the best of your ability. Great job Ben!

My mom works till four o'clock and we can't make it home, so she stepped up and said she can do it for free. She would never complain when she picks us up, all she does is talk to us and take us home everyday for a week. She was doing the least by taking us home everyday this week for nothing, just to let my mom work.

  47. In one of my basketball games at MAM, we were down 41-42 to the MAM all-star team with 6 seconds to go. Before that, there were 12 seconds left, and Max Murray received the inbounds pass and quickly passed it to me on the high post. I drove in and got fouled. We were in the double bonus so I got 2 shots. I was fairly confident that I would make at least 1 of the free-throws because I was 3 for 5 from the line that game. After receiving the pass from the ref, my ears quickly picked up the sound of about 20 opposing fans banging on the stands. I ended up missing both shots and ended up losing us the game, but my point isn't that I cant be clutch from the free-throw line. My point is that all my teammates and coaches comforted me and assured me that they had also made mistakes that had cost us the game. This meant a lot to me.
